I'M BACK!!!!

Hey Everyone!! Well we finally got moved into our new place. It was exhausting and I think I almost lost my cool many times, but with the help of MANY WARD MEMBERS and My Parents we were able to pull off a complete move in less then two weeks. I look back and think how the heck did we manage to find a place to live, get into a place, pack and MOVE in less then two weeks. Someone was watching over us and answering prayers in a hurry. I am sooooooo thankful for all of the many people who helped us pull this off. We had so much help and for that I am FOREVER grateful. The members of Pecan Creek 1st Ward are AWESOME and I am just hoping that our new ward is even half as wonderful. I am going to miss my sweet little Primary class and all of the friends we made there. We will come by and visit a lot since we are only 2 miles away.

I want to thank my parents and my sister for taking time out of their schedules to spend a few days helping me keep it together and for HELPING me BIG TIME!!

I will try and post some pics of our new place soon, but just wanted to let you all know that we are alive and just busy getting things situated.

Peace and Love Peeps,
Cami

ThE BiG MoVe!!!!

Many of you may already know, but in case you don't already... We are moving. I must tell you that this was not what we had planned, but when it is out of your control then you have to GO WITH IT!!

This has to be a QUICK MOVE due to circumstances that we were very surprised to learn just 9 days ago (Thanks a BUNCH Mr. Landlord). What a NIGHTMARE to move again - IN THE SUMMER!! Why does that always happen?? I have lived in Arizona all my life and I would say that nearly every time I have moved it seems to always be STINKING HOT!!! I don't get it, but oh well.

We found another place last weekend and will be moving over the next few days. I know that my last post I hinted that something DIFFICULT was coming up, but I was still so ANGRY I decided to not post anything to HATEFUL!! I have had time to digest it and I am actually thrilled with this new place. It is close to where we are and so Dylan can stay in the same High School and have all of his friends close. We will not be in the same Ward or Stake which I am bummed about, because this WARD IS AWESOME!! This will be the hardest part about moving, but it will all work out in the end.

I probably will not be posting until after we are settled due to all that takes place with moving, but I will be back on in NO TIME filling everyone in on how everything went.

Thanks to everyone for all of the prayers that have been said on our behalf - WE HAVE FELT THEM FOR SURE!!

PEACE & LOVE PEEPS,
CAMI

As of Now...

Summer is nearly over and I can't believe school is starting MONDAY!! It seems that sadly it is true that as you get older time seems to fly by so much more quickly. AMAZING!!

Dylan starts his Freshman year at Combs High School, and he is SO EXCITED!! He found out today that his NEW High School has really decided to start off their FIRST YEAR in some pretty exciting ways... So here is how the schedules will work...I will give you an example okay so on Monday's and Thursday's Dyl will go to his 1st, 2nd and 3rd periods beginning at 7:20am and ending at 2:00pm which includes lunch and a 20 minute STUDY period. Tuesday's and Friday's would be periods 4, 5 and 6 with the 20 minute STUDY period and lunch. Wednesdays they go to all periods without having a study period and they get out of school at 2:10. I hope I have that straight. I guess the parents in the district voted to do it this way, so that the kids would not get burned out and would be able to get out of school earlier. We will see if it actually works out ok, but Dyl seems pretty happy about it, so if I can have a happy teenager regarding school - I AM SO HAPPY AS WELL. He has some pretty tough classes this year, but he is happy about that as well, so again YAY!!

Daley and Slade should be starting with their new school as well - Arizona Virtual Academy, but still waiting on some processing so it may not be MONDAY, but soon thereafter I hope. They are so happy about this whole thing - SO I JUST PRAY IT IS AS GREAT OF AN EXPERIENCE AS I FEEL IT WILL BE. There may some kinks in the beginning, but no different then all the kinks you face going to regular school, so I am already prepared for some bumps at first. We are pretty used to "bumpy roads", so it is all good.

Well that is about it for now. I could probably write more, but exhaustion is catching up with me QUICK!!

PEACE AND LOVE PEEPS!!

MY CRAZY DAY!!!

My Mom came to pick me up to take Scout to his NEW PEDIATRIC OPHTHALMOLOGIST today. I was so hopeful that we could drive the long hour drive to Scottsdale and have decent day. Well in the middle of the Doc. visit I get a frantic phone call from Dev telling me that the car keys are lost and asking where they might be. I think of every place to tell them to look, because now Slade and Dylan are both involved in "The Search". I finally had to hang up the phone because the Doctor had come back in the room to do the actual exam.

Coming away from Dr. Plotnick's appt. we have learned that Scout's Right Eye is turning in MUCH MORE and since his glasses got too small he had refused to wear them, so of course I did not expect progress. Dr. P told me that his right eye is very Far sighted so in turn it over-focuses on things - therefore turning in. His treatment is for Scout to WEAR HIS GLASSES EVERYDAY for 3 MONTHS and then return to see if improvement is being made. Dr. P said that Scout will almost DEFINITELY NEED A SURGERY, but he has to know after the 3 months how involved his surgery will be. After that there is a 50% chance of having to have a second surgery if the first one (actually 3rd one) isn't a HUGE SUCCESS!! I was not surprised that of his findings at all, so that was a fine visit.

We went straight to the EYE DOC. place to give his EYE RX so we could order his glasses. The lady said that they have to wait for an Authorization from the insurance to cover the high strength of the RX and also the lens type, so it may be at least 2-3 weeks before he can get them - Oh the joys of insurance "RED TAPE". So we wait.....

This is not even where my day gets CRAZY...

I get home and THE KEYS ARE STILL MISSING!!!!! I am calm thinking ok - I will retrace my steps from yesterday when I drove last and surely I will find them (hahahahaha wishful thinking). I search EVERYWHERE I can possibly think. I move furniture, I go through stacks of what I will refer to as CRAP (papers, mails, etc.). I look under beds, in drawer, in cupboards, in the van, in boxes. I pull out shelves and now I am starting to get a bit PEEVED!! I never swore out loud the whole time, but in my head I was cussing up a storm. I look under cushions and pillows and undo my bedding and still NO KEYS!! Finally as a family we knelt down and said a prayer asking for help to find our car keys (our only set by the way).

I kept having this feeling that my SWEET SCOUT may have had something to do with this charade, but he was of no help. I asked him, "Scout, have you seend Mommy's keys?", and he would reply, "Yes Mom I was playing with them.". I say, "Well, where did you put them?", and he would give some random place - like, "in my box, or over there...". I could tell he was not going to remember, but he was very sympathetic, saying, "Mom, have you seen your keys?" or "Mom, I hope you find your keys.". Thanks Scout you are a BIG HELP!!

Finally after searching for literally 4 hours...Slade comes running down the stairs singing some Celebratory Song with MY KEYS IN HAND!!! YES!!

I literally almost cried I was so happy. I was speechless. After all of the searching the keys were in the sofa upstairs in the playroom - not just under the cushion but shoved into the couch so you had to stick your hand down deep to find them. THIS HAS SCOUT WRITTEN ALL OVER IT!! The whole time I had that feeling about Scout playing with my keys and that is exactly what he had done. We had a few talks about NEVER playing with Mom's keys EVER AGAIN!!

I am seriously WHIPPED!! I got my keys and went straight to... WAL-MART!! (tired tired)
Now I am BEAT and ready to HIT THE HAY!!

The Lord does answer prayers - FOR SURE!! Dylan thought it was a silly idea to pray for keys when there are starving people all over the world, but I told him that I will put my faith in The Lord no matter how BIG or small the problem is.

You can be for dang sure I was saying a PRAYER of THANKGIVING to my Father in Heaven before I left my garage to go to Wal-Mart!!

LIKE MY ENTRY WAY SIGN SAYS, "WELCOME TO OUR CHAOS!!".

Peace and Love Peeps,
Cami

Funny Stuff - BY SCOUT STARKS

TODAY I HEADED TO WAL-MART TO PICK UP SOME STUFF FOR DEVIN. I WAS IN A HURRY, BUT I PROMISED SCOUT AND DALEY THAT I WOULD TAKE THEM "IN" TO TACO BELL TO GET A QUICK BURRITO - IT IS ALWAYS A SPECIAL TREAT TO GO INSIDE A FOOD PLACE, CAUSE WE NEVER DO HARDLY EVER.

SO, AS WE ARE WAITING FOR OUR BURRITOS WE START HAVING THIS LITTLE CONVERSATION ABOUT WHAT THE KIDS WANT TO BE WHEN THEY GET BIG. WELL, AS USUAL SCOUT SAYS, "I WANT TO BE A DADDY." TO WHICH I SAY, "SO, HOW MANY KIDS DO YOU WANT TO HAVE?". HE RAISES ALL FIVE FINGERS ON HIS ONE HAND AND SAYS - "FIVE". SO, I SAY, "BOYS OR GIRLS?" AND HE SAYS, "I WANT 5 GIRLS AND THEN I THINK 5 BOYS AND I WILL GIVE THE 5 BOYS TO YOU MOM.". I LAUGHED AND SAID, "WELL, WE WILL SEE HOW YOUR WIFE FEELS ABOUT THAT, AND BY THE WAY... I WANT TO BE A GRANDMA WHEN I GROW UP, SO YOU HAVE TO KEEP ALL OF YOUR KIDS WITH YOU, OKAY?" SO HE THINKS AND SAYS, "I THINK I JUST WANT 5 KIDS STILL.". I AGREED. HE IS A SILLY BOY, BUT HE SURE DOES THINK ABOUT A LOT OF THINGS.

FUNNY THING THOUGH - LATER ON WHEN WE CAME HOME - SCOUT CHANGED HIS MIND - NOT ABOUT WANTING 5 KIDS BUT HE DECIDED HE WANTED 2 BOYS AND 3 GIRLS - I THINK I LIKE HIS PLAN - SO HOPEFULLY HIS FABULOUS WIFE WILL AGREE :).
